Playgrounds and Basketball Courts Reopening

Dear Residents, The community playgrounds and basketball courts will begin opening over the next few days, while we work to take down all the barriers. Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time in our world. If you still haven’t picked up your pool FOB please stop by the Clubhouse anytime between 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The Clubhouse is located at 1811 S. Martingale Rd.

Community Pools Are Now Open!!

According to the CDC, there is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through water in pools, hot tubs, spas, or water play areas.

We are taking the following step to create a safer and cleaner swim environment.

• We have removed every other lounge chair to allow for social distancing and reduce capacity. • New signs for each gate into the pools has been ordered and will be instituted by Friday.

• New disinfectant wipe dispensers have been ordered to install at the pools as it recommended pool furniture be wiped off after each use.

Following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance, under all circumstances, the following precautions should be followed by people utilizing pools. To the extent possible, pool users may follow these guidelines:

  • Stay home if sick.
  • Protect yourself while visiting pools.
  • Stay at least 6 feet away from other patrons.
  • If you are at higher risk for severe illness, you should avoid visiting pools. People at higher risk for severe illness include adults 65 or older and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions.
  • Do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • Bring hand sanitizer and use it before and after going to the pool. When you get home, wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Wipe down pool furniture when you are doing using it.

Community Update 4-29-20

Dear Residents,

As the weather heats up, we know many are eager to get back into community pools. The pools are currently on a mandatory shutdown by the State and once restrictions are lifted the pools will reopen.  While amenities have been closed to the community, they are still being maintained by community vendors and will be ready for immediate opening once restrictions are lifted.

 Social Events

The May 9th Movie in the Park event has been cancelled due to social distancing and health concerns.

Project Updates

New benches and dog stations have been ordered to replace worn and deteriorating ones throughout the community. We anticipate these items being completed in the next 4 to 6 weeks.

Landscape Maintenance

Please look around your yard and make sure to:

  • trim up your plants and make sure they aren’t encroaching on sidewalks
  • trim trees back from the sidewalk and trim up hanging lower branches and leaves to a height of 8 feet
  • remove the tree growth from the bottom of the trunk, also known as tree suckers
  • and as always pull those pesky weeks and continue to apply herbicides to prevent new growth

If you have a corner lot, please remember the side of your home is also your property. If your home has an alley, please make sure to keep your portion of landscape cleaned up as well.

We wish everyone good health and to please reach out to Karen or me with any questions or concerns.

Temporary Suspension of Amenities

Lyon’s Gate Residents,

I wanted to communicate what is going on within your HOA to help combat the spread of COVID-19. We are monitoring the Town of Gilbert actions, along with State guidelines and recommendations. Lyon’s Gate has shut down access to the pool areas, restrooms, and will not hold meetings in the clubhouse.

We have also closed the playgrounds/tot-lots and the basketball courts, following the Town of Gilbert actions and recommendations. We will be putting a barrier up around the playgrounds (fencing was supposed to be here late last week but was delayed.) We expect this to be installed this week.

The lights on the basketball court will be turned off, and the backboards will be taken down temporarily. We have not ordered enough barrier fencing to enclose those entirely, so this is our mediation attempt. These facilities are closed indefinitely at this point.

We have also cancelled several community events, including the April 4th Easter event, and Community Yard Sale which was scheduled for March 28th.

The Town of Gilbert indicates they will keep their facilities and fields/courts closed at least through 5/10.

The HOA Board of Directors had cancelled the March board meeting. We will work on the April meeting being a remote meeting, but we have to work out the dynamics of including the homeowners to have access to the meeting.

We understand that the children, and adults are wanting to get outside and play. We hope everyone stays safe and Lyon’s Gate is up and rolling with our usual activity as soon as possible. Thank you and as always, we are here to support and help the homeowners of Lyon’s Gate.

Sincerely,
Bob Ferron,
President
Lyon’s Gate HOA

A Message from City Property Management Regarding COVID-19

With the ongoing concern regarding COVID-19, also referred to as the coronavirus, we wanted to share some ways that we are continuing to work for the communities and homeowners we serve at City Property Management.

  • We will be limiting access to our front lobby at our corporate office effective Wednesday, March 18th at 5:00 pm. This closure will be temporary and is for the protection of our team and their families. However, our company is still fully operational and there will be no interruption of the services we provide the communities and homeowners we work with. We will not be accepting cash payments during this time and please make arrangements for a check, money order or register for online payments at our online portal.
  • Please arrange to make any payments by mail, electronically, or sign up for automatic payments.
  • We are encouraging homeowners to take advantage of our technology. Call, email, or utilize the online portal and mobile app, CITYlink. Please use these methods to make service and architectural requests as well.
  • We will be moving into virtual meetings instead of traditional meetings. We are working to hold teleconferences or video conferences. Stay tuned for how homeowners can participate soon should your community elect to hold virtual meetings.
  • Please keep watch for email communications from your management team regarding any possible closures of amenities or common areas.
  • Some annual meetings have or may be suspended temporarily.  All voting will be preserved and will be restarted accordingly when there can be an appropriate meeting venue and process. Please watch for emails on these subjects specific to your community.
  • Community Managers will still be visiting properties to check on safety issues and common area maintenance. Violations will be kept to a minimum but homeowners are still expected to maintain their properties to the best of your ability.  If you are unable to at this time, please contact your manager.
  • If you are experiencing financial hardships during this time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Our team members will work with the boards we serve to find solutions if possible.
  • Our company is ensuring we adhere to CDC recommendations and guidelines for our team members.

As a homegrown family-owned business, we are encouraging team members and homeowners alike to continue to support local businesses if possible during this time. For example, buying gift cards to your favorite Arizona establishments will support our communities, neighbors, and economy. We know that it is critical that each of us do our part to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 at this time and at City Property Management, we are utilizing our technology to do so. Business is uninterrupted and we are pushing forward to provide outstanding service to the communities we work with because at City Property Management, we are families serving families. We wish everyone good health and to please reach out to your management team with any questions or concerns. Thank you,

Important Community Update

Dear Residents, The health of our residents is a top priority here at Lyon’s Gate. We recognize the pandemic of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and we are taking necessary measures to respond to the health safety risks.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we know that older adults and people who have serious chronic medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and lung disease, are at a higher risk of getting very sick from this illness. For such reasons we are implementing mitigation precautions to reduce the likelihood of our residents coming in contact with COVID-19.

In line with the action other Associations are taking, the pools will close effective Monday, March 16, 2020 at 10pm and the March board meeting has been cancelled. The April 4th Easter event has been cancelled as well. We will keep the community apprised in the coming weeks as to when you can expect the pools to reopen.

We apologize for any inconvenience. For your personal health and safety, we recommend that you visit the CDC website at:  https://www.cdc.gov/ to keep up to date with information regarding the COVID-19.
